Birthday Cake Card (+Video) – Concord & 9th Bits and Pieces

Hello and welcome crafty friends! I hope you’re all doing well. Today, I have a very out-of-my-comfort zone square birthday card! You can find the full tutorial video on my Youtube channel!

I’ve been trying to work my way through my stash (you know, all the stamps I’ve bought over the past couple years and still haven’t used…) and decided to use the Concord & 9th Bits and Pieces stamp set for today’s card.

I started by stamping the long rectangular stamp four times to form the cake layers (the same stamp could also be used to make a present!). I used Altenew inks in the shades: Coral Berry, Fresh Lemon, Volcano Lake, and Ultramarine. I stamped the “Oh Happy Day” sentiment in Gina K Designs Obsidian Black amalgam ink and then stamped the candles using Altenew Silver Stone ink.

I blended some Volcano Lake ink around the sides of a 5.5″ square card base, and then adhered the front panel. I used a Quickie Glue pen to add some glitter to the candles and voila, the final card!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and are having a lovely week!

Candice
