Little Copic Scenes – Create A Smile Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome back crafty friends! Today I am sharing the card I created for the newest Create A Smile Challenge!

I started by stamping the bee and the lady bug and bee images from the Create A Smile (CAS) Best Bugs stamp set onto two rectangular pieces of 110 lb. cardstock using Gina K Designs Obsidian Black amalgam ink. Then I die cut two polaroid frames using a die from the Penguin Palace Twist-n-Pop die set. Next, I cut the rectangles I had stamped my images onto down to fit just behind the polaroid frames.

Copic colored the little scenes using the following colors:

  • Bee–Y18, Y08, Y06, Y02 | N8, N6, N4 | BG0000, BG000 (wings)
  • Lady bug–N8, N6, N4 | R29, R27
  • Branch–E59, E57

Once the coloring was complete, I glued the polaroid frames on top. Before I adhered the two polaroids to the card base, I stamped the little puffball (is that what these are called?!) images on the background in Hero Arts Soft Granite ink to add some interest. Lastly, I stamped the “best bugs!” sentiment on one of the polaroids.

Everyone is welcome to join in our biweekly challenges—and there’s a chance to win a 25€ giftcard to the CAS shop! All you have to do is create a project inspired by the graphic using at least one Create A Smile product as your focal point and add your project to the blog using the link tool! I hope you have a lovely week!

Candice
